1. About these terms
These terms apply to all courses, lessons, test bookings, truck hire and accommodation booked with Dinango Driving School (Reg NO. 2009/204465/23), online, on WhatsApp, by phone or at our offices. By booking you agree to them.
2. Bookings and deposits
- Your booking is provisional until we receive the deposit (30% of the course price, unless your invoice says otherwise).
- Pay by EFT using your booking reference, or cash or card at our Mbazwana or Manguzi office. We never ask for card details online.
- We schedule your lessons once the deposit is received, depending on instructor and vehicle availability.
- The full balance must be paid before your driving test, unless we agreed a payment plan with you.
3. Payment plans
- Instalments are due on the dates shown on your invoice. We send a reminder when a payment is late.
- We may pause lessons while an instalment is more than 7 days late. We will tell you before we do.
4. Lessons
- A standard lesson is 60 minutes (30 minutes where booked as a 30-minute lesson).
- Bring your original, valid learner's licence to every lesson. We cannot legally give a lesson without it; a lesson missed for this reason counts as used.
- Please arrive on time. If you are late, the lesson still ends at the booked time.
- An instructor will stop a lesson if a learner appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. That lesson counts as used.
- Unused lessons stay on your account. If you have not had a lesson for 3 months we will contact you to rebook.
5. Moving or missing a lesson
- Moving a lesson with at least 24 hours' notice is free.
- With less than 24 hours' notice, or if you do not arrive, the lesson counts as used, unless the reason is illness, a death in the family or another real emergency.
- If we cancel (vehicle breakdown, instructor illness or unsafe weather), we rebook you at no cost.
6. Cancelling your course and refunds
- Online bookings, 7-day cooling-off: if you booked on our website you may cancel within 7 days of booking for a full refund, as long as your lessons have not started. If lessons started within those 7 days at your request, we refund what you paid less the lessons used.
- After that you may cancel at any time. We refund what you paid, less: lessons already used (at your package's price per lesson); test fees already paid to the testing centre for you (the testing centre does not refund these); and a cancellation fee of 10% of the unused amount, up to a maximum of R300.
- No cancellation fee is charged if you cannot continue because of death or hospitalisation.
- Deposits are refunded under the same rules.
- Accommodation cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice: the first night is charged. Truck hire cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice: 50% is charged.
- Refunds are paid by EFT into your bank account within 14 days of cancelling, and never later than 30 days.
7. Tests
- We help you book your learner's and driving tests at the testing centre (DLTC). Test fees are set and kept by the DLTC.
- If you do not pass, a retest needs a new booking fee and, where needed, extra lessons.
- We prepare you thoroughly, but nobody can guarantee a pass: the examiner decides the result.
8. Vehicles and safety
- Our vehicles are roadworthy, licensed and fitted for training. Always follow your instructor's instructions.
- You are not charged for accidental damage during a lesson with our instructor. Damage caused on purpose, or while driving one of our vehicles without an instructor, will be charged.
9. Your information
We look after your personal information as explained in our Privacy Policy (POPIA).
10. Questions and complaints

11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version on our website on the day you booked applies to your booking.
